Dr. Skane is thorough in her approach and compassionate with her communication. When I learned I was pregnant with my 5th child, I was so overwhelmed and could not hold back my emotions. She was comforting as well as her staff. When ever I am there, they are able to acknowledge where I am in life. If am tired, they bring me snacks, and juice. If I need clarity, they provide information and support. The staff is approachable and align with Dr. Skane's personality and her vision. The same can be said with the staff in her birthing center, which is connected with her office. As a fairly new resident to Alabama, and someone who has birthed all of my previous children at home, the Oasis Women's Center and Family Birthing Center put my mind at ease. I am so grateful for this connection and would suggest this location to any woman seeking feminine care or an alternative to hospital births.
